2019 New Years Resolutions

Hey fam, Audrie here.

There’s a strong chance I don’t keep all of these resolutions because, let’s be honest, that’s how the whole resolution thing usually goes. Maybe it helps to think of these as “goals” rather than resolutions. Either way, I think there is some value in thinking through what I’d like to do, prioritize and accomplish in the coming year.

Take my vitamins. Consistently enough for them to actually work.

Find and stick with a do-able skincare routine. Apparently under-eye circles and early signs of wrinkles won’t fix themselves. I’ll never be a 10-step skincare routine type of gal, but I think I can manage 3 or 4.

Ramp up my saving habits. This one is definitely easier said than done, but my plan is to automate savings where I can so that I don’t even have to think about it.

Teach my dog at least one new trick. He’ll do just about anything for a treat, so this goal should be do-able.

Hit a 275 lb deadlift. #gymlyfe #bruh

Go on a vacation. Here’s a sad fact: I haven’t been on a full-blown vacation in over two years. Long weekend trips are wonderful, and I’ve enjoyed several over the past couple of years, but nothing beats a true vacation and I’m long overdue.

Eat more vegetables in lieu of foods that are obviously unhealthy. I don’t want to sign myself up for a “diet” that I know I’ll never follow, but I can totally get down with some healthy food swaps. By keeping this goal realistic, I’m hoping I can actually do it. I’ll share recipe ideas here as I discover them!

For what they’re worth, those are my reasonably do-able, albeit somewhat cliché resolutions/goals for 2019. Let’s crush this year!

Cheers,

A
